‘Homegrown’ series 2020 was made during lockdown. Inspired by the flower paintings of Odilon Redon, I wanted to makes use of all the flowers that I’d grown in the garden for our wedding. After having to postpone the event three times, I wanted these images to capture the simple beauty of the flowers, yet set them within a dramatic and somewhat sombre setting reflecting the universal experience of life on hold.
