The Fabric wrapping of gifts stems from a Japanese tradition, they are called furoshiki, or fukusa for more formal and important gifts. I was looking into getting wrapping paper made, yet it always seems so wasteful to rip these beautiful papers, then most of the time they just get discarded-straight to the rubbish. My Fabric Wrapping is made from organic cotton satin which gives it a luxurious sheen, using cotton that hasn’t been sprayed with chemicals which are so harmful to the environment. A digital printer is used to print the fabric, which minimises the consumption of water, energy and chemical substances.
There are eight beautifully colourful, geometric designs to choose from, plus matching gift cards printed on recycled paper. The idea is that Fabric Wrapping can be used again and again, passing from person to person and each time is a gift in itself.
